The Senate Radio is back with the finale of Season 2! What a season it’s been full of highs, lows, laughs, tears, and shenanigans. This season saw the introduction of a lot of fun and new sonic elements that helped make the show better including a custom intro for Season 2. This is the season the show really took off and became the glue that bonded The Senate. This was also the season that we brought in three outstanding Senators who not only competed hard every week but also contributed to The Senate Radio in ways that made MDK’s life much easier. Cheers to Season 2 and 100 more seasons of The Senate Radio! In this episode MDK breaks down the championship match up in The Senate with the Week 3 Playoff Review. SOUND OFF ends the season on a high note with just one caller: YOUR 2022 CHAMPION ALEX. We’re serenaded with a song that every champion wants to hear at the end of a season. Alex doesn’t leave us with many words because he doesn’t need to. HE’S THE MOTHERFUCKING CHAMP. ONLY ON SOUND OFF. It all comes down to this. 16 weeks. Hundreds of games. Thousands of points scored. Countless hours SOUNDING OFF. It all comes down to this. The Championship match in The Senate. MDK breaks down the last two rounds of the playoffs on this episode of The Senate Radio with both the Week 2 Playoff Review and the Week 3 Playoff Preview. LFG. SOUND OFF is back again with calls from the only two Senators that matter: Alex and Dan. Alex is back on the airwaves starts by reminding us that he’s in the championship for the second year in a row. After a dismissal of the opponent he bested last week, he turns his wrath on his opponent for this week: Merino. He trashes Dan and his QB situation since Tua was concussed into another dimension. Alex is an owner who’s come close to the title before, but he knows this season is his and nothing is going to stop him from getting the glory he’s worked for hard for. It’s his time. Merino get’s his chance to clap back and starts strong by showing us that he can still win without his former QB who went out with a hit that turned his brain into mush. He shits on The RoloNator whose luck finally ran out at the hands of Merino’s team. He ends the call on a high note by thanking everyone in the league for being awesome, but not before he admits he’s probably gonna lose and is just praying for Alex’s team to shit the bed. The Senate Radio is back for another playoff edition episode! MDK might not celebrate Christmas, but he’ll never say no to a day off from work full of food and merriment and because of that this week’s episode is a combo with both the Week 1 Playoffs Review and a Week 2 Playoffs Preview. SOUND OFF is back again and DJMDK is HYPED. Calling in first is Alex who’s in a much better mood because of his huge playoff win over Jordan. Even thought he know’s he got lucky, he’s pumped for his match up in the next round against Leo and his squad. DJMDK isn’t having it though and he implores him to be more aggressive in his shit talk. Thankfully the Magic Man Leo calls in to save the segment with a blatant disrespect of Alex by not even knowing who he was playing this weekend and promising to smash him and his “lucky to even be here” band of merry men. The train goes off the track though when Leo bring up another sport that no one here cares about which leads to a rant about his teams injuries. He know’s Lady Luck has been fucking him over but he’s confident he’ll get the W this weekend. Merino calls in next to trash Mikey who he beat down last week. He’s celebrating the fact that he didn’t start Tua in a blizzard but he knows he made the right choice. But the target of Dan’s ire is none other than The RoloNator who he faces in the next round and calls out for being a Fugazi, a label that has plagued Rolo all season long. Dan drops the hammer on his foe by guaranteeing a victory this weekend! RIDE THE FUCKING LIGHTNING!!!! The RoloNator is back to close the show with a call that’s unlike any of his other appearances on the show. He gives props to opponent Merino for being a Fins fan and a Tua supporter. Perhaps he thinks that buttering his opponent up will help him win? But it doesn’t take long for the real RoloNator to arrive and he promptly shits on Merino’s team for being ass and promises to lay the beating of a lifetime on his in their match up. The playoffs are officially here and The Senate Radio has you covered with expertly uninformed analysis of this weekends epic matchups! While this episode begins like any other, it’s quickly highjacked by DJMDK who brutally assaults the host MDK and steals the mic to start us off with another episode of SOUND OFF. The RoloNator starts us off calling in from a bye week to check everyone in The Senate who’s doubted him all season by claiming that luck is the only reason he’s in the position his in. Well he’s got news for everyone, he disagrees and is ready to prove all the Senators who’ve doubted him along the way that they underestimate him at their own peril. Watch out bitches. After the quick SOUNF OFF, MDK gets back on the saddle and breaks it all down in the Round 1 Preview and picks his the teams he thinks will be moving on to the next round of the post season. SOUND OFF returns mid episode to deliver more callers who are ready to talk that GAS. Calling in first is Merino who’s doubtful of his team because, well, they actually suck. His confidence is forced and all he can do is pump and pray for a W against Mikey this weekend. Not to be outdone, Mikey calls in next to yell and scream unintelligibly about how ready he is and how shit Merino’s team is. Perfection on the radio: ONLY ON SOUND OFF. After another preview by MDK, SOUND OFF returns it’s final segment of the episode. DJMDK nearly quits when he finds out MDK actually get’s paid to do this. Alex calls in first and keeps it short and simple; no shit talking his opponent, no cursing at his opponent , and no disrespecting his opponent. NO FUN. DJMDK doesn’t let it slide and scolds him for his lack of temerity and cowardice. Fortunately the segment is saved by the final caller, none other than the SALAMI himself, Jordan. After he apologizes for his hiatus from SOUND OFF he’s ready to talk that….fakevert? That’s right, he’s here to promote a brand of Italian Sausage with a short story that’ll get any red blooded man hotter than a skillet over an open flame. With the bills paid, Jordan unloads on his opponent Alex with an explicit yet arousing sound clip that he guarantees will mirror what his team will do to Alex this weekend. ONLY ON SOUND OFF. Rob is back again calling all the way from Dallas, TX. at a work event which he blames for his lack of effort on the waiver wire…typical. He gives kudos to The Senate and it’s top notch competition but is still hoping for a miracle as he needs everyone to lose so he can sneak into the playoffs. What call from the big guy would be complete if he didn’t end it with a: FUCK YOU MDK, EAT MY DICK! The Brazilian Bad-Ass is back on the air but he’s on suicide watch as his team not only laid egg against KG but his start QB went down with an injury. The segment start off with one of the more confusing calls ever as THE SALAMI calls in just to play two sound clips from film that make as much sense as DJMDK does after a bender. Excellent work Jordy. Merino gets us back on track with a strong call shitting on his opponent Dave and of course returning to the old reliable punching bag, Marcell. Fuck Marcell says Dan after getting another blessing from the Santeria Priest. He claims his ‘dark horse’ status as a playoff team no one wants to see. Yeah ok. Finishing strong as always is Rob who’s back to shit on MDK for picking against him. He’s coming for the final playoff spot, he’s got one eye on the ball and the other eye on that money. KG makes his return to SOUND OFF by trashing his opponent who he’s buried deep in the dirt. He’s not even stressing his next opponent but he’s got RECEIPTS on everyone who doubted him after an 0-6 start. Two wins in a row have him feeling good about his chances and he’s ready to prove all the doubters wrong. THE SALAMI closes the show with another call for the ages. Up to this point the sound effects were more generic and less specific than the ones used from here on out. Despite a hurricane on the horizon DJMDK delivers another banger of a SOUND OFF. Rob starts us off this week with a pair hateful calls lamenting his 0-3 start, but promising to come back with a vengeance, and reminding MDK how much he hates him. The Rolonator is back on SOUND OFF to trash talk MDK for his shit picks and his skepticism of The Rolonator. But more importantly he bestows upon the host of SOUND OFF the moniker he’d use from this point forward: DJMDK. Another epic moment in the show’s history. The Brazilian Bad-Ass Leo is up next to heap praise on his QB/TE stack of Jackson & Andrews. Riding high and kicking ass his confidence is on full display as he shits on his opponent. But he saves his strongest take for MDK who he’s got his sights on crushing next week with the full force of his Portuguese Power. No matter the language he talks in his shit talking is unrivaled as he dunks on his opponent KG’s moronic roster moves that cost him the game and helped propel Leo to victory. Not to be outdone though, Karlos calls in next and hits us with a violent rage the likes we’ve never heard before on SOUND OFF. But he composes himself just in time to remind Leo that his revenge will come in Week 13. Next caller is The Roloninator who spares no quarter for the opponent who he dominated in Week 1. This Senator might be a rookie in The Senate but he’s not new to this fantasy life and he’s here to win. Point Blank. DJMDK saves the best call for last: DAN MERINO. Dan is riding high after a big win in Week 1 but admits that he consulted a Santeria Priest to help him exercise the demon known as Marcell, a story that ended with a Tua jersey and cheap rum. In this episode MDK get’s into the biggest free agency news of the 2022 offseason, and he delivers his thoughts on the state of the league and the Senator turnover that’s been a recurring theme in The Senate.
